Professional Experience
I have had the opportunity to gain nearly two years of internship and CO-OP experience before graduation. Unfortunately, I'm not able to showcase the majority of the projects I have completed. However, the photos and models below from one of my internships show projects that have contributed most to my professional growth while also making a large positive impact on the organization.
Vacuum Pump Test Stand Models
I created this model in AutoCad 3D after completing the structural design for a test skid while working in reliability engineering. This skid was later built and used to test equipment in the machine shop to validate repairs. The vacuum pumps used at the plant were critical to the unit, but were notoriously unreliable. Unfortunately, I can't share any technical information other than the rendering shown below. On the right is a photograph of the stand fully manufactured with the vacuum pumps installed for testing.
Airlock Structural Skid and Equipment Stackup
I created the schematics for several airlock structural skids during one of my internships in AutoCad, completing a major effort to replace aging equipment at the site. The structure itself featured several upgrades that incorporated feedback from operators and maintenance personnel. The structure features large gaps between components that allows for forklift accessibility, and was made from corrosion resistant materials. The fully manufactured skid and accompanying equipment stack up is shown in the image below on the right.
